Sample rate

When slowing down the sample rate of the touchfoil™ to achieve a touch through thicker substrates please consider the following:

  • When reducing the sample rate the capacitive field produced by the touchfoil™ will become larger
  • As the capacitive field becomes larger the distance/air gap between the touchfoil™ and the display must be increased to avoid picking up any interference from the display 

 

This also applies to an increase in sample rate allowing the distance/air gap between the touchfoil™ and display to be reduced.
