MA9 touchfoil – End of Sale & End of Life Notice

Note: There is no active development on this product.

Visualplanet announces the End of Sale (EoS) and End of Life (EoL) dates for Single Touch (MA9) touchfoil. The last day to order the affected product is 1st April 2016. Customers possessing the Single Touch touchfoil product will continue to receive support for this product until December 31, 2016.

Product warranties will be honoured for their duration (regardless of the Last Date of Support listed below), however after the Last Ship Date stock will be not be replenished, and therefore may be limited. In the case that a replacement unit or repair cannot be provided by Visualplanet, either a refund will be made for the unit or an alternative product will be provided if available (please see product migration options).

End of Life Schedule

Milestone Definition Date
End of Life Announcement Date The date the document that announces the end of sale and end of life of a product is distributed to customers of visualplanet 24th March 2016
End of Sale Date The last date to order the product from visualplanet. The product is no longer for sale after this date 1st April 2016
Last Ship Date The last possible shipping date that can be requested of visualplanet and/or its channel partners. 1st May 2016
Last Date of Support The last date to receive service and support for the product. After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete. 31st December 2016

Product Part Numbers Affected

Affected part numbers will end in “101”, “111”, “112”, “123”, “149” and contain “2-1B64”, “3-1S64”, “4-1B64”, “5-1S64”, “DRIVER_0”, “DRIVER_80”, “2-1B80”, “3-1S80”, “4-1B80”, “5-1S80”.

Product Migration Options

Customers are encouraged to migrate to the new Single User touchfoil™ product, a dual touch sensor which is HID compliant, and compatible with Windows, Linux (including Android from v4.4.2), and Mac OSX.

Please note that existing 64W and 80W Single Touch touchfoils will not be compatible and customers will require a new touchfoil™ sensor.
