Run MA9 driver at Windows 10 start-up

Note: There is no active development on this product

The MA9 driver control panel has an option (tick box) to allow for the driver to run on system boot.

This feature will not work on Windows 8 , 8.1 and Windows 10 because Microsoft has changed the start-up folder path in these versions.
As a result, MA9 driver will not start at boot up, even if the tick box in the MA9 control panel is ticked and there will be no touch response until the driver is manually started.

Solution

  • Navigate to MA9 installation folder (by default: C:\touchfoildriver-MA9\) and create a shortcut of the “rundriver.bat” file located in the
    C:\touchfoildriver-MA9\bin\ folder.
  • Copy the “rundriver.bat – Shortcut” in the Windows start-up folder.
This will start the touchfoil driver so touch response will be available straight from boot up rather than having to start the driver manually every time.

The start-up folder in Win10 is located in:
C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\
* replace “xxxxxx” with the username of the windows profile.
